Effects of bone-plate materials on the healing process of fractured tibia bone under time-varying conditions: a finite element analysis

چکیده
Abstract Stress shielding is known to cause bone refracture or low healing rate in fractured bones. The numerical study of process a transverse tibia was conducted this research reduce the stress shielding. and strain on callus were evaluated when plates different metallic non-metallic biomaterials used. Time varying material properties applied, loading conditions coupled with callus. distribution callus, maximum plate analysed. analysis results shows that Polyether ether ketone/Nano-Hydroxyapatite/Short Carbon Fibre (PEEK/nano-HA/SCF) most suitable for plating application tibia. PEEK/nano-HA/SCF chosen as it provides optimum promote healing. It has closest stiffness cortical hence minimized extensively. uniform at site early process.
